How Bad Do You Want It?
This is a 100% true, authentic, real life story from one of our Make Success Mandatory Inner Circle members. This story was today Friday the 13th, I found it to be so “bad ass” that I just had to share it with you guys.
As the saying goes…..
If you want something bad enough you will find a way,
If you don’t you will find an excuse to quit, stop, or give up along the way to any goal.
Story here…..via one of our MSM Inner Circle members:
“Okay I have to tell you my long story from yesterday. Yesterday was a hard day for me to say the least.
Started out traveling for work at 4am to get to Minneapolis for a 8am work meeting. I planned on running at lunch time in Minneapolis around Lake Minnetonka. With 60° weather I was jacked!
Well, it never happened. I got a flat tire about 100 miles after leaving because I hit a piece of scrap metal that fell off a truck. My spare was also flat. So I waited till road side assistance could help (1hour). I finally got back on the road at 7am.
I let my 8am meeting know the circumstance and kept trucking. I then got pulled over by MN’s finest and received a $280 speeding ticket. I won’t tell you how fast I was going.
I finally arrived at my meeting where I presented in front of a board of directors for a bank. After I finished, I was told by a board member that they had made their decision to go with another company prior to the meeting but they wanted to give me an opportunity to present . Gee thanks!!!
I finally got home at 9:45pm and was so tired but I thought about the post I made yesterday about hard days….
“I’ve found that some days are much harder for me, but these tough days are the days when I have to dig my heels in the most.
It’s the difference between success and failure for me! Because getting through them takes me higher and the satisfaction I get from these days is 10 times greater than the easy days.”
So I got my running shoes on and ran my 4 miles that was on my schedule. It sucked!!!
I got up today and I felt so good about getting it done. I just finished a strength circuit this morning and today is off to a great start and I know it’s gonna be a great one.
I want to tell you all thanks for helping me stay on track! Even though I don’t know everyone personally, the power of this group helps me tremendously! For that I thank you all!!!”
Now if that doesn’t light a fire inside you to push through and do more I don’t know what will. Ask yourself would you have done the same? Would you have put on your “running shoes” at 9:45pm and finished your workout you planned?
Sometimes your success or lack of success comes down to “HOW BAD YOU WANT SOMETHING!”
So I ask you again…..how bad do you want it today?
